Ph.D (Biotechnology) Admissions in JIIT
Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT) offers Ph.D courses in diverse streams of Engineering, management and science. Ph.D (Biotechnology) is one of such course offered under science stream. Degree holders in specific stream with at least 60% marks can participate in the selection process. Selection is done on the basis of written exam and interview. Written exam comprises questions on topics such as Genomics, Immunology, Biology of Microbes and Fermentation Technology. Applications can be sent through online or postal method.
Eligibility to join Ph.D (Biotechnology) in JIIT
Candidates having pursued master’s degree in Biotechnology or related subjects can seek admission to the course. Such students must have pursued the course through regular mode and have obtained a minimum of 60% marks. Those with consistently good academic performance will be often preferred.
Candidates with a valid score in SLET / UGC / CSIR examinations can keep apart from the entrance test.
Selection Procedure for Ph.D (Biotechnology) in JIIT
Selection of candidates is made through a written exam and interview conducted at JIIT. Written exam is conducted for 100 marks and candidate should answer the same within 120 minutes. It is carried out in a single paper containing two different sections. In section A, there will be 25 multiple choice questions, carrying 2 marks each. 5 descriptive questions carrying 10 marks each will be asked for Section B.

Application form for admissions can be collected from the website of JIIT. In the application form, one needs to select the institution as JIIT, Noida, as Ph.D Biotechnology is offered only through the constituent center located at Noida. Educational qualifications, technical skills, project/thesis details, work experience, etc must be mentioned clearly in the application form. Sponsored candidates need to submit a proof certificate from their presently working organization. Filled up application forms must be send to the address of Registrar, Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, A-10, Sector-62, Noida, UP, 201307 before deadline date.
Application fee for attending the test is Rs. 700/-. This must be paid as a demand draft favoring Jaypee Institute of Information Technology and must be payable at New Delhi or Noida also. This DD must be sent along with the application form.

I have done M.B.A. in operation management from Sikkim & Manipal University & scored 59.70% marks. I want to do Ph.D. in management. Am I eligible & what is the procedure?
