Profile:

Mumbai Port Trust was established under the Government of India. The major functionality of this port includes the delivering of services such as handling, storing, packaging and delivery of cargo and containers. THe port is mainly knwon or famous for the providing a variety of facilities like watering, dry docks, reefer points, bunkering etc. The main objective of the trust is to improve the services and quality by making an improvement in the infrastructure, attain excellence and observe the safety norms. This is also considered as the most famous port trust of the country.

Job Profile:

Eligible as well as qualified candidates are invited to apply on the posts of Pilot, Marine Engineer and Marine Officer in Mumbai Port Trust. The working pattern for all the selected candidates on all the three post is 24 hours on 24 hours off basis.

Eligibility:

The upper age limit set for all the three specified posts i.e. Pilot, Marine Engineer and Marine Officer is 40 years. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC category candidates. If the recruitment of the candidates is on contract basis, then the upper age limit set is 65 years.

Educational Qualification:

For the post of Pilot: Candidates are required to posses a certificate of Competency as Master (Foreign Going) issued by the concerned Ministry of Government of India.

For the post of Marine Engineer: Candidates are required to posses a certificate of Competency as First class Engineer (Motor) or (Steam and Motor) issued by the concerned Ministry of Government of India.

For the post of Marine Officer: Candidates are required to posses a certificate of Competency as Master (Home Trade/Coastal) issued by the concerned Ministry of Government of India.

No. of posts: There are 16 posts available in total.

For the post of Pilot: 8 posts are available.
For the post of Marine Engineer: 7 posts are available.
For the post of Marine Officer: 1 post is available.

Pay Scale:

For the post of Pilot: Consolidated salary of Rs. 62000 per month.
For the post of Marine Engineer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 75000 per month.
For the post of Marine Officer: Consolidated salary of Rs. 75000 per month.

Selection Process:

The mode of selection in Mumbai Port Trust is through a Walk-In-interview. Candidates will have to qualify in this personal interview test for ensuring their selection on the desired post. The Walk-In-Interview will be held on a specified date only.
