Preparation Tips for CSAT

There will be two papers for CSAT, Paper I and Paper II. History of India, Indian Polity, General Science, Economy and Indian and World Geography are the main topics covered in Paper I. For Paper II, questions will be asked from topics like logical reasoning, analytical ability, mental ability and data interpretation.
Before starting with exam preparation, a proper time table allocated with separate time frame for each section must be created. It will be good to give special focus for each section. While preparing for the section of History of India, emphasis should be given to Indian Independence struggle and modern India, as majority of questions will be asked from this area. NCERT text books from class IIX to X can be used to prepare on Indian History.

Aspirants can expect a lot of questions from Indian constitution and polity, and therefore a thorough study on this area is quite essential. For the section of General science, majority of questions will be asked from subjects like biology, physics and chemistry. In economics topics like budgets, economic survey, budget allocation, spending for social sectors and new initiatives of government needs to be concentrated well.
Preparation on all the above mentioned topics can be done with the aid of reference books. For clearing GK section regular reading of newspapers like the Hindu or Times of India is adequate. Practicing maximum number of questions is the only way to clear Paper II. Model questions as well as previous year’s questions can be entertained for this.

Getting trained for CSAT under any reputed coaching centers is also fine. They often provide students with comprehensive study materials, conduct mock tests and guide them to face exam with confidence.
