The M.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering degree from Punjab Technical University is a reputed degree and one has to be very thorough with the concepts of the subject to be able to qualify the paper. The paper is coded as EC- 508 and is encountered in the second semester of the degree. It is one of the six papers that are encountered by a student undergoing this degree.

Paper pattern:

The paper is divided into three parts, section A, section B and section C. Section A is compulsory and one has ten questions each carrying 2 marks therefore making it a compulsory 20 marks section. The questions are generally based on short differences, or definition etc. Section B is  an optional section where one has to answer any four out of the five questions given. All the question carry an equal mark of 4 and makes this section carry 20 marks as well. The last and the final section, section is one where one has to choose two questions from four question and the marks each question carry is 10.The last section has elaborate answer type questions.

Maximum marks and time:

The marks to be obtained in the Digital Speech & Image Proccessing Papers is 100 and one has a time of three hours to complete the paper.
