Recruitment Process for ‘Junior Engineer’ under Ministry of Railways, Government of India
Recruitment of Junior Engineers under Ministry of Railways is done on the basis of scores of obtained in written test, document verification and medical test conducted by Railway Recruitment Board. Diploma holders in the age group of 18-33 years are eligible to apply. Candidates can apply for the exam through online or by post. The examination fee is Rs. 60/-.
Recruitment Process of ‘Junior Engineer
Diploma holders in various disciplines with a minimum of 50 % marks in aggregate are eligible to apply for the post of Junior Engineers in various departments under the Ministry of Railways. Candidates who fall in the age group of 18 – 33 years at the time of application can only apply. Selection Procedure includes
- Written examination
- Document verification
- Medical test
There will be objective type multiple choice questions in the written test. Questions will be asked from the topics prescribed in the educational qualifications required for the posts. Apart from technical section there will be questions from topics such as
- General Awareness
- Arithmetic
- General Intelligence
- Reasoning
There will be a maximum of 150 questions. Candidates will be given a maximum of 2 hours to answer all the questions. Medium of instructions will in English, Hindi, Urdu and Regional language selected by the candidates while applying for the examination. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. For each wrong answer, 1/3 of the total marks allotted will be deducted. Those who have cleared the written test will be short listed for document verification. Candidates are required to submit the originals of supporting documents on the date of verification. Final selection will be on the basis of Medical Fitness Test. Candidates are required to be medically fit as per the notification issued by Railway Recruitment Board.
Application Procedure for ‘Junior Engineer
Candidates who wish to apply for the post of Junior Engineer under the Ministry of Railways can apply online as well as offline. Those who wish to apply offline are required to download the prescribed application form from the official website of Railway Recruitment Board. Candidates are required to fill up the application form with blue or black ballpoint pen in English or in Hindi only in their own handwriting. Candidates will have to provide personal as well as academic details in the application form. They will have to pay Rs. 60/- as examination fee. Fee payment can be done by taking a Postal Order or Bank Draft. Candidates are required to affix passport size photograph and put their left hand thumb impression in the space provided in application form. Fully filled in application along with copies of relevant documents should be sent to regional centers of RRB.
Apart from this, candidates can log in to the official website of RRB to apply online for the recruitment. They can pay the examination fee using Credit/ Debit card. Candidates are required to upload the scanned copies of supporting documents so as to apply successfully for the examination.
