JIIT is a deemed to be university and it offers undergraduate and post graduate courses through Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan, that is, JSS, which is a not for profit trust. Its mission is to provide quality education of its students and the best facilities which fit their needs and requirements. The university is located near the Electronic City at Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is situated 3 km from the border between New Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

The University offers under graduate programs, post graduate programs and dual degree programs. The under graduate programs include B.Tech courses in various trades. The post graduate programs are the M.Tech programs in various trades and some doctoral programs. Dual degree programs include B.tech-M.Tech dual degree and B.Phar-M.Pharm dual degree courses.

For admissions in courses, the candidate should download or purchase the prospectus in order to know the eligibility criteria and fee structure. The candidate needs to purchase or download (from the official website of the university) the admission application form and submit it after filling in the necessary details. Admissions are based on the entrance examination and qualifying in the merit list of the same.

The laboratories of the university are well equipped and best suited for the studies of the students. Separate hostels for boys and girls are provided with basic amenities like cold and hot water, TV room etc. ICICI bank has associations with the university in order to open saving accounts. ATM facility is also provided within the university. Campus has a PCO in order to make local, STD and ISD calls. Photocopy facility is available.
