Kittel Science College was established in the year 1968 and the college is coming under the permanent jurisdiction of Karnatak University located at Dharwad. The college was functioning as a single unit in the name of Kittel College from the year 1968 to 1988. After this in the year 1988, the college was divided into two namely Kittel Arts College and Kittel Science College. Kittel Science College is centrally located in the city of Dharwad in such a way that it can be easily reached from any part of the city.

Courses Offered:

As the name implies, it is a science college offering bachelor and masters degree in science. The UG degree course is divided into six semesters spread over a period of three years. The PG course is M. Sc in computer science and the course duration is two years. Apart from these two courses, the college is also offering several add-on courses on sericulture, biotechnology, information technology, computer networking and computer application.

Eligibility for admission:

For getting admission to the first and second semester of the B. Sc course, students must have completed PUC science examination conducted by the department of PUE located at Bangalore or any other equivalent examination recognized by Karnatak University. For the third, fourth, fifth and sixth semester, admission will be made as per the guidelines framed by Karnatak University. For the PG course, the candidates must be a B. Sc graduate in information science or students with B. Tech/B.E/BCA or any other science graduation with statistics/mathematics at the 10+2 level can also apply.

In addition to offering quality education in the field of science, Kittel Science College is also encouraging the students to take part in different co-curricular activities. For this purpose, different associations are functioning under the college providing the students with opportunities to take part in fine-arts competitions, debates, cultural activities, etc…
