Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) conducts entrance exam every year for the selection of candidates to its various programmes. Selection will be on the basis of the candidates’ academic records & performance in the written test and interview conducted by the Institute.

Structure of Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) Bachelor of Statistics Entrance Test

The entrance exam will consist of both objective and descriptive type questions. There will be a total of 30 multiple choice questions and 10 questions of short answer type. The objective type questions will have 4 alternative options from which the most suited answer has to be found out. Both the sections have to be answered within the limited time given.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates those who have successfully completed their Higher Secondary Education or equivalent with Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects are eligible to apply for the ISI Bachelor of Statistics entrance test. Those in the final year of qualifying programme are also eligible to apply for the same.

How to Apply?

The candidates can obtain the application form from the various concerned offices of Indian Statistical Institute by post or in person by payment of Rs. 450/- (Rs. 225/- in case of reserved categories). The fee payment can be done in the form of direct cash or as demand draft which is drawn in favor of Indian Statistical Institute payable at Kolkata. The same can also be downloaded from the official website of the Indian Statistical Institute. The completed application form along with the requisite enclosures have to be sent to Indian Statistical Institute, 203 Barrackpore Trunk Road, Kolkata 700108, India on or before the last date.

How to fill the Form?

Filling up of form is one of the important aspects which have to be done with at most care. All the necessary information regarding how to fill the form is clearly mentioned in the information brochure which is obtained along with the application form. It’s also separately available in the official webpage of ISI. The applicants are advised to go through it before filling the form. All the columns have to be filled with the accurate details. Also make proper care that the application form along with all the required attachments reach the concerned destination before the cutoff date.
