Ministry of Home Affairs is an interior ministry of Government of India. The ministry is mainly responsible for maintaining the internal security and domestic policy of the Indian Government. This ministry also hold the cabinet rank as a member of the council of Ministers. Mr. P. Chidambaram is the present minister of Ministry of Home Affairs. The major objective of the ministry is to maintain peace and security in the country by extending its manpower to the State Governments. There are several departments under Ministry of Home Affairs such as Department of Internal Security, Department of Border Management etc.
Job Profile:
Ministry of Home Affairs invites applications from the eligible indian nationals for the following posts of Additional Judge Attorney General, Deputy Judge Attorney General and Judge Attorney. Only LLB qualified candidates are required to apply for the following posts:
1. Recruitment of Additional Judge Attorney General (Commandant):
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess degree in Law from a recognized university. Candidates should also be holding the post of Second in-Command or Commandant in Indo Tibetan Border Police Force with atleast 15 years of experience in Group-A service. Also 10 years experience in dealing with legal affair is required.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.
2. Recruitment of Deputy Judge Attorney General (Dy Commandant):
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess degree in Law from a recognized university. Candidates should also be serving Indo Tibetan Border Police Force with atleast 5 years of experience in Group-A service. Also 3 years experience in dealing with legal affair is required.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
3. Recruitment of Judge Attorney (Assistant Commandant):
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess degree in Law from a recognized university. Candidates should also be serving either Air Force or Navy or Army as an officer of the rank of Captain or equivalent in the department of Judge Advocate General.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400.
Eligibility:
Candidates should be within the age limit specified for the posts of Additional Judge Attorney General, Deputy Judge Attorney General and Judge Attorney. Candidates with age more than the prescribed maximum age limit, should not apply for any of the specified posts as their applications will not be considered.
Selection Process:
For all the three above specified posts, candidates selection will be made through the conduct of a personal interview test. Candidates are required to appear in the interview and also to qualify in it for ensuring their selection on the post (depending on candidate’s interest). A selection commitee is to be organized by Ministry of Home Affairs for recruiting eligible candidates on the specified posts.
