How to Prepare for JAT?

Candidate’s seeking admission into under graduate courses in Engineering, dental, medical and Ayurvedic courses need to have cleared the Joint admission test. These colleges are located in the state of Assam. It is conducted by the Director of Technical education. The test is usually held in the month of June. The candidate should have completed higher secondary exam or equivalent exam with PCM subjects. They should have minimum of 50% marks in these subjects. A large number of candidates appear for this exam every year.

Structure of the JAT

The Joint Admission test consists of four papers. Each paper carries 100 marks. The duration of each paper is 3 hours. The questions are from physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology. Candidates need to be prepared for multiple choice objective type questions. The candidate will get one mark for correct answer. There is no negative marking. The candidate merit list will be prepared based on the entrance test marks.

Reference Books for JAT

They syllabus of this exam will be mostly from the 12th CBSE portion. Solving previous year paper will in this purpose.

Study Plan for JAT

Preparing thoroughly in all the areas is a must. They will get objective type questions from this. The candidate should follow the particular text book or course material till the exam. This is more important when the candidate is preparing for their test. The candidate can prepare and time table and follow that. They should allot separate time for each subject and revise it properly. They should practice many mock tests and model question papers.
