even if your father is a resident of Assam. you'll not be considered as an citizen of Assam as you haven't studied 12th in Assam. I think you're not eligible for Assam JAT. One more thing is you have to pass the higher secondary education in Assam Higher educational council. As this is the other thing to say which you are not eligible for Assam JAT. By this I can conclude that you are not eligible to write Assam JAT. Quote:

JAT-JOINT ADMISSION Test conducted by Director Technical Education, Assam for admission to under Graduate course in Engineering college in Assam.
The candidate having following eligibility criteria can apply for JAT:- - Should be an Indian National and permanent resident of Assam. - Should have passed higher secondary examination of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with at least 50% marks. You have neither passed Assam Higher Secondary Education nor a permanent resident of Assam though your father is serving in Assam, so you are not eligible to apply for JAT. But you should not be disheartened you may apply for IIT JEE/AIEEE/VIT EEE/BITS/Orissa JEE. |
