The Ministry of Water Resources of Government of India is responsible for laying policy programmes and guidelines for the regulation and development of the water resources of the country. Upper Yamuna River Board is one among the different boards functioning under the ministry and this board is constituted by the Central Government of India.

Recruitment by Ministry of Water Resources:

Ministry of Water Resources invites applications from employees of union territory/central/state government administration for Group A, Group B and Group C positions to work for the Upper Yamuna River Board on deputation basis. Some of the details regarding the notification issued by the ministry are given below

Name of the position: Group A, Group B and Group C Posts

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancies is 30, which is divided among Group A, B and C as follows:

Group A – 8 posts

1. Superintending Engineer  - 1

2. Executive Engineer – 1

3. Specialist Ground Water – 1

4. Specialist Environment – 1

5. Assistant Executive Engineer – 4

Group B – 7 posts

6. Private Secretary – 1

7. Design Assistant – 4

8. P.A to S.Es – 2

Group C – 15 posts

9. Junior Engineer – 4

10. Draftsman  -  3

11. Stenographer – 6

12. Cashier – 1

13. Lower Division Clerk – 1

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for Group A positions, will get a pay scale of Rs.15600-39100, which comes under PB-3. Candidates appointed for Group B positions and first two positions of Group C, will get a pay scale of Rs.9300-34800, which comes under PB-2 and other candidates under Group C positions will get a pay scale of Rs.5200-20200, which is PB-1 scale. Period of Deputation: Normally, period of deputation inclusive of deputation period in another ex-cadre post held immediately before getting appointment in Upper Yamuna River Board in same or some other department/organization of the central government shall not exceed three years.

Age: The maximum age limit for recruitment on deputation basis in government organizations is not more than 56 years on the last date of receipt of applications.
