The Computer Science and Applications paper includes study of wide range of topics related to computers. The subject includes study of the programming language C as well as various computer related terminology. The subject also deals with the study of networking and normal computer operations. Discussions about OS and overall knowledge about types and components of computers also forms a part of the college.

The question paper has few questions that are repeated almost every year. This includes Data Types of C language, Programming in C language etc. Apart from those questions like the difference between LAN, WAN, and MAN is also asked in the paper. Network Topology and Tree is also a part of the paper. The paper also has one question that gets repeated almost every year “the aspect of computer and its application in the pharmaceutical world”. Topics like high level language and low level language and difference between a compiler and interpreter is also asked in the paper.

Paper pattern:

The question paper of Computer Science and Applications has 10 questions. These 10 questions are divided into 3 sections. Section A has question number 1 which is divided into 15 sub questions. Every sub question is of 2 marks each. The second section is of 20 marks. It has 5 questions of 5 marks each, out of which only 4 are to be answered. Section c has 4 questions of 10 marks each. Out of these only 3 is to be answered.

Maximum Marks and Time allotted:

The total mark of the paper is 80 and the time duration is 3 hours.
