The University provides a standard education to the students from the beginning of this institution. The paper of Mathematics is a common paper for the entire stream in the course. The subject is almost required in every field as it is a core paper, it is in taught in every grade.

Paper Pattern:

The paper of Engineering Mathematics in the 3rd semester is a numerical paper as suggested by the subject. The paper contains 15 questions in it to be attempted. These questions are further divided into 2 sections; Section A is of 10 questions and each question is of equal marks, these are very short answer type questions. Section B is of long answer type questions, 5 questions are there in the paper and each question is of equal marks. Each question in this section has its alternative to choose.

Frequently asked questions:

The pattern of the paper is quite similar to the previous semester papers of the course. The questions are repeated from the previous year’s questions. Questions asked are such as from polynomial functions, trigonometric applications, functions with several variables, curve equations, definite integration, equation of spheres, differentiation Green theorem, Stokes theorem etc. The paper should be solved in the given time duration as the questions are very time taking.

Total marks and time allotted:

A total of 100 marks are allotted to the paper and time duration of the paper is 3 hours only. Questions from the 1st section are of 2 marks each whereas 2nd section contains questions of 12 marks each.  The 2nd section has its alternative in every question.
