Marketing Manager – How to become a Marketing Manager?
Marketing Management deals with various marketing techniques used for managing an organization. Marketing Managers are responsible for deciding and implementing the different marketing techniques useful for an organization. They evaluate the response of the customers and the market conditions. Based on this evaluation they help in developing the marketing strategies required for an organization. Their duties also include implementing marketing campaigns essential for an organization. They are also responsible for developing pricing strategies which maximize the profit of the organization as well as meet the customer’s needs. Another responsibility of Marketing Manager is to constantly monitor the development of new trends and thereby overseeing the need for new products and services.
Qualifying Exam
Candidates who aspire to become a Marketing Manager should have either Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management. After completing this degree or diploma one can apply for the job of Marketing Manager in any organization. The concerned organizations will have their own recruitment process to employ eligible candidates to the Marketing Manager post. Candidates should perform well in every stage of the recruitment process to get the desired job.
Who are eligible to apply?
Candidates who want to become a Marketing Manager should first pass plus two or its equivalent examination. After that, they should complete graduation in any stream. Graduates can only apply for the entrance test conducted for the admission to Master of Business Administration course or Post Graduate Diploma course. Most of the institutions admit candidates on the basis of the score obtained in Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT). Some institutions have their own admission test. All of the entrance tests consist of written examination, group discussion and interview. Score will be given on the basis of the performance in all the three stages.
