B.A, LL.B. (Hons.) in National Law University (NLU) - Admission and Fee Details
Candidates having completed HSC course with a minimum of 50% marks are eligible to join for B.A, LLB (Hons) course in National Law University (NLU). Admissions are done on the basis of an entrance exam called ‘All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)’ and marks obtained in qualifying exam. Candidates need to score at least 40% marks in AILET to seek admission. The tuition fees for B.A, LLB (Hons) course is fixed as Rs.42, 500/- per semester.
Eligibility Criteria for B.A, LL.B. (Hons.) in National Law University (NLU)
Pass in 12th class is the main qualification required to get admission. It is compulsory to score at least 50% marks to get admission for this course. Age of the candidate must be less than 21 years.
Those who are studying last year of 12th class are also eligible to apply for the course provided they are able to submit the proof of qualification at the time of admission.
Admission Procedure for B.A, LL.B. (Hons.) in National Law University (NLU)
Admissions are done on the basis of an entrance exam called ‘All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)’ and marks obtained in qualifying exam. AILET comprise questions from the following subject categories –
- General Knowledge - 35 marks (Current Affairs, General Science, History, Geography, Economics, and Civics)
- Reasoning - 35 marks
- Legal Aptitude - 35 marks
- English - 35 marks
- Elementary Mathematics (Numerical Ability) -10 marks
The entrance exam is conducted for a total of 150 marks which should be completed within 1 hour, 30 minutes duration. Candidates must compulsorily attain 40% marks (30% marks for SC/ST) in AILET exam to get qualified for admission.

- Room Rent Deposits - Rs.18, 000/- per annum
- Sports and Games Facilities Fee - Rs.3, 000/- per annum

After completion of the B.A, LLB (Hons.) course, 50% of deposits made by students will be taken for both student’s welfare fund and alumni fund.
