The Army Institute of Management was established on 28 July 1997 under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi, to provide state-of-art Management Program to the candidates belonging to the wards of Army personnel with an opportunity for the general candidates as well. This institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology. Within a short period of time this institute has become ‘A’ ranked B-School in the Country.
