Profile:

Indian army is considered to be oen of the supreme forces of our country under taken by the government of India. The army is totally dedicated towards the protection of the country from all kinds of terrorist attacks. Indian Army is safegaurding out national borders from a very long time. The presence of this force is a reason enough for us and our country to feel protected from any kind of foreign and domestic attack. The army is considered as highly commendable for its work for the benefits and protection of our country.

Job Profile:

Eligible unmarried women candidates with Indian nationaly are invited to apply for grant of Short Service Commission to the Indian Army. Women candidates who are widows of Defence personnel’s (with/without children) are also eligible to apply in Indian Army.

Eligibility:

Interested women candidates should be within 20 to 27 years of age. Also candidates must be born between 2 October 1984 to 1 October 1991. Also the minimum acceptable height and weight for the female candidates is 152 cms with correlated weight of 42 kgs.

Visual Standrads:

Distant Vision(Better): 6/6
Distant Vision(Worse): 6/18
But candidates who have undergone any surgery for the correction of reflective error are not acceptable.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates who are in the final year of Engineering degree and candidates who are qualified graduates of the degree course in engineering are eligible to apply. However, the candidates, who are in final year of their Engineering degree course, are required to produce the engineering degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training.

No. of posts: Total 38 posts are available in the different departments of the Indian Army.

Pay Scale: Before the completion of the period of training, candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21000 per month. However, after the completion of the training, officers will be commissioned as Lt and entitled to the payband of Rs. 15600-39100 with DA at present and other benefits.

Selection Process:

Only eligible candidates will be called for SSB that will be taken by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. It is noteworthy that candidates will not be interviewed locally and selection centre will be alloted to each group of candidates. Candidates will not be allowed to make any request for changing the allotted selection centre. A medical test will also need to faced by the qualified candidates of this personal interview test.

Completely filled in application forms should be sent in an envelope with superscription ‘8th SSC (Tech) Women and Widoes of Defence Personnel, Subject/Discipline __________________’ in capital letters. Application should be posted by Registered or speed post only and should be sent to the following address:

    Aftr 9th ssc tech woman entry there have been no seats for btech(biotech)/ food tech in the 10th 11th ssc? Will it be there for 12th? If not ..then pls include atleast 1 seat yearly!
