CIPET JEE 2011 M.Tech/PGD-PPT
Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET) conducts an admission process for admission to its Post Graduate courses. CIPET is a premier institution set up By Government of India for Academic, Technology Support & Research for the plastic and allied industries. First CIPET was setup in Chennai in 1968 and since then 14 other CIPET have been established in various cities of India. CIPET provides Diploma, PG Diploma, Undergraduate, Post-Graduate and Doctoral courses in field of Plastics Engineering & Technology.
The Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET) has been considered as an apex institute that is known for its formulated manner of teaching the subject with high level of technology involved in the practical sense. The institute has also been known to deliver several technical based services to different plastic based industries. The Institute is also dedicated for training man power of these industries thereby making it an elite class of Plastic Engineering based Institute. The Institute has a high reputation and known for its unique style of teaching.
CIPET conducts Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to its various Postgraduate courses. Various Post Graduate Courses available in CIPET are: M.Tech in Plastic Engineering/Technology, Nanotechnology & CAD/CAM/CAE & PG Diploma in Plastics Processing and Testing. CIPET JEE is conducted across nearly 30 centers across the country.
Eligibility criteria:
For M.Tech(Plastic Engineering/Technology):
B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (4 Years) in Mechanical/Chemical/Production/Polymer/Tool Engineering or M.Sc. in Polymer Science/Chemistry with specialization in polymer
For M.Tech(Nanotechnology):
B.E./B.Tech. (4 Years) in Plastics Engineering/Technology/Polymer/Chemical /Mechanical/M.sc. in Polymer Chemistry/Polymer Science/Physics/Chemistry
For M.Tech(CAD/CAM/CAE):
B.E./B.Tech.(4 Years) in Mechanical/Production/Plastics/Polymer Technology/Engineering/Tool
Engineering/Aeronautics/Automobile/Mechatronics
For Postgraduate Diploma in Plastics Processing and Testing (PGD-PPT):Bachelor’s degree in
Science with Chemistry as one of the subjects
Upper Age limit for all the M.Tech courses is 35 years. For PGD-PPT it is 24 years.
The candidates that are attaining result for any of the qualifying examination are eligible to enroll their name in the Entrance Test. However the candidates have to notify the Institute head about their confirmation of pass through a highly trust worthy certificates, signed by the Principal of the Institute, before 01st October of the ensuing year of the admission. If not, then the admission of that respective candidate is highly likable to be cancelled.
Application Forms:
The forms will be available from all the CIPET centers directly or by post. Those obtaining the form by post should send the completed application form with a demand draft along with a self addressed envelope. The candidates that are interested in earning the application form through post have to forward a requisite letter along with a Demand Draft of Rs. 400/. The candidates are advised to provide the registration number at the top of the letter along with a specimen of their signature at the back side of the Demand Draft.
