Sir, I have passed SSC and in HSC with Commerce stream but now I wan to study technical course like Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering course. Can I get admission through lateral entry?

No, you can't get admission in Diploma in Engineering course through lateral entry after completion of your 12th standard with Commerce stream. Only candidates who have passed 12th standard with Vocational Science stream or two years ITI course from a Government recognised board are eligible to get lateral entry admission in Diploma in Engineering course. So, being a 12th standard Commerce stream student, you are not eligible to get lateral entry admission in Diploma in Engineering course.

I am sorry to say that after the completion of class 12th, one cannot get admission directly in the second year of Diploma course through lateral entry process.
Candidates those who have completed ITI course in the relevant field from a recognized University can apply for the lateral entry in Diploma course. Otherwise, candidates must have to take admission from 1st year only.

I get 47% percentage in 10 and 90% in 12th commerce stream so I get admission in polytechnic on 12 percentage

Can a STUDENT who had Commerce MATHAMATICS subjects in 11th & 12th get admission in Diploma Engineering through lateral entry?
