My name is sameer and iam doing mcvc in electronics standerd 12 after that can i get admission in mechanical diploma? Can you please let me know the answer on this? I wanted to know if I can really diploma course. Please let me know the procedure and what to do next?

MCVC stands for minimum competency based vocational courses which is started by NCERT, New delhi.

Yes, you can apply for diploma after completion of class 12. As you have pursued electronics you must have to get a minimum of 60% marks for admission to diploma program. You can get admission directly to second year of diploma program. If you are interested to pursue higher study you can get admission directly to second year degree program.

Yes, you can get admission in Diploma course after completion of your 12th standard from a recognised board. Candidates who have completed 12th standard or two years ITI course from a recognised board are eligible to get lateral entry admission in Diploma course. To get admission in Diploma course, you need to appear in Lateral entry examinations like VOCLET, etc. which is conducted by your respective state entrance examinations board. By qualifying the entrance examination, based upon your examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get admission in first year of three years Diploma course.

Definitely, you can apply for diploma admission but your 12th qualification is not needed during admission. Only your 10th certificates will count during admission. You have to appear for polytechnic entrance exam which is conducted on state level and eligibility is just 10th passed from a recognized board.
