Myself aniket saraf n am studin diploma in etc. Please answer to me fast. What is the procedure for appearing in IIT after completion of diploma in ETC? I want to know whether it would be possible to join IIT or not. What is the minimum eligibility criteria they will ask for the same?

Yes,

Diploma holders can appear for the JEE Mains exam through which admission to the IITs are made.

But there are some important criteria for the diploma holders.

1. The institute of the diploma must be approved by the AICTE for running the diploma courses.

2. The affiliating university must have been rexogonized by the UGC

Diploma holders would require to appera for the JEE Mains as the regular 12 candidate and compare with them to hold a good rank and be merit for the Jee advanced.

Once holding a good rank they may be offered any good college

No, you are not eligible to get admission in IIT after completion of your three years Diploma course in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. To be eligible to get admission in IIT, you must have pursued 12th standard with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry subjects from a recognised board and you must have to appear and qualify in JEE Main and Advanced examinations. Since, you have not pursued 12th standard, being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to get admission in IIT.

Unfortunately, there is no entrance exam for Diploma holders for IIT admission. Only 10+2 qualified candidates can apply for admission in IITs. There is no lateral entry admission procedure in IITs and that is the main reason you have to look for other options.

You have to apply for other exams which offer lateral entry admission in B.Tech and you will get admission in only those colleges which offer offer direct 2nd year admission through lateral entry. Therefore, you have to look for other colleges and after completion of B.Tech you can apply for GATE to get into IITs.
