No, Diploma holders are not eligible to appear in GATE examination. The minimum educational qualification required to appear in GATE examination is completion of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science/Technology/Architecture/Pharmacy from a recognised university. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation course are also eligible to appear in GATE examination. Since, you have not pursued Bachelor's degree course, being a Diploma holder, you are not eligible to appear in GATE examination.

No, diploma candidates are not eligible for GATE exam. If you have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Architecture/Design or its equivalent or masters degree in science department then are eligible for GATE exam. There are no restriction for attempts in GATE exam. You can apply any number of time. There is no age criteria but your minimum age must be above 18 years.

No you are not eligible for GATE exam as you are a diploma student. You need to complete graduation degree atleast for GATE examination. Diploma is not equivalent to graduation degree. The eligible degree's required for giving GATE examination are given below:-

B.E./B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Pharm (Post-Diploma/ Post B.Sc./4 years after 10+2).
B.S (Post-Diploma/ 4 years after 10+2)
M.Sc./M.A./ MCA or equivalent
Int. M.E/ M.Tech(Post BSc) (Four year programme)
Int. M.E./M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2) (Five year programme)
Int. M. Sc/ Int. B.S.-M.S.(five year).
Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E/ B.Tech/B.Arch) recognized by MHRD/ UPSC/ AICTE (e.g. AMIE by Institution of Engineers-India, AMICE by the Institute of Civil Engineers-India).

If you have one of them then you will apply for GATE exam.

No, diploma students are not eligible for GATE exam, because GATE exam is only for the candidates, who have completed Bachelor's in Engineering and Technical related courses and who want to join in M.Tech and M.Arch courses. So, now you are not eligible to appear for GATE exam. You can appear for this exam, after the completion of your Bachelor's degree in B.Tech/B.E/B.Arch courses.
