Can I apply for Education Loan of Rs. 18 Lacs to study Pharma.D in Bangalore?


Sir,
I have finished my 12th with 79% mark. Can I apply for an education loan to study Pharma.D in Bangalore? The total cost for the college is Rs. 18 Lacs including hostel and food. The college is EastWest college of Pharmacy. First year it is about Rs. 5 Lacs including fee hostel and food. I need to get an education loan.

Yes, you can definitely apply for education loan to meet the expense of your Pharma S. course in Bangalore provided you get admission in a well recognized institute. However, you cannot opt for education loan of 18 lakhs which is the total cost of your course. This is because the maximum permissible loan amount is 10 lakhs for study in India. Hence you can opt for education loan of 10 lakhs and rest 8 lakhs are needed to be given by you.
