1)PHYSICS-NCERT,H.C.Verma,Universal and then arihant
2)CHEMISTRY-NCERT,O.P.Tandon and finally arihant(theory)
3)MATHEMATICS-NCERT,Universal and arihant

based on the new pattern being proposed, i feel the eduwiser series books are a viable option. they have cbse and iit-jee sections included in a single book. eduwiser's books have been written by the renowned prof. k. c. sinha

let me tell you that r.d. sharma won't be enough to crack the exam.
Here is the list of books which will help you a lot:-
PHYSICS
H.C.Verma( Vols 1&2)-if you don't have plenty of time in hand
Halliday/Resnick/Walker-if you have plenty of time in hand

CHEMISTRY
K.L.Chugh(class XI & class XII)-for physical and organic chemistry
any NCERT book for inorganic chemistry
O.P.Agarwal-if you want to do some more numericals

MATHEMATICS
M.L.Agarwal(class XI & XII)-for conceptual development
M.L.Khanna-for numericals

Apart from these books i would also advice to subscribe for the magazines 'Physics Today', 'Chemistry Today' and "Mathematics Today' which is published monthly by 'MTG'. These magazines hace plenty of good quality questions and practice papers for various entrance exams along with correct solutions.

the concept provided in r.d sharma is sufficient to pass the exam but if you really wanna to get good ranking then you must also pratice from other books.

No, R.D.Sharma is not sufficient to crack IITJEE because the questions in this books are not of that standard in comparison to the questions which come in the exam.
I would refer to you a list of book which will prove very handy for you.
Apart from these books never forget to subscribe for the magazines 'Physics Today', 'chemistry Today' and 'Mathematics Today' which come out monthly and are published by MTG. These magazines contain numerous practice papers and plenty of standard problems along with the correct solutions.

I would like to tell you that nearly 5 lac students sit for the IITJEE exam each year of which only 10000 get selected which means that only 2 students from every 100 students get selected. Hence, the competition is very strict and tough, so your preparation needs to be of that level.

Keeping that in mind the examiners also set that type of questions such that the major bbulk of candidates cannot qualify. Hence your preparation needs to be of that level in order to crack the exam.

R.D.Sharma is no doubt a very good book but it alone cannot help you in cracking the exam. I would refer you some more books which will help you a lot more in studying

Let me tell you that R.D.Sharma is no doubt a very good book but its problems are not of that standard in comparison to the type of problems asked in IITJEE.
Hence it is advisable that you go for these books:-

K.L.Chugh( for class XI & XII)
For mathematics
M.L.Agarwal

If you don't want to get accustomed to these new books then another option is that you go to some coaching institute like FIITJEE, Akash Institute, Pathfinder and ask for study material packages which they provide for a certain amount of cost.
