Dear Friend,

The eligibility requirement for B.Ed. course varies according to the colleges and you have to check with the college you are interested to take admission in.

But in general the requirement is as follows:

For General: Minimum 50% in graduation
For OBC: Minimum 45% in graduation
For Sc/ST: Minimum 40% in graduation

But, in few colleges only graduation degree is required and there is no percentage criteria.

There are two ways for admission:

# Merits : The college takes up the application of the students and then decides the cutoff for admission.
# Caste related : Here also some percentage of seats are reserved for the different casts students like BC, OBC, NT, and etc.

The application are scanned check and then cutoff percentage are decided by the college, But with your percentage it may be very difficult for you to get the admission.

I belongs to OBC catogery & I got 46 % so am I eligeble for Uttrakhand B.Ed or Not.

can you people will suggest any substitute course for the people who do not pursue b ed, due to low %.........
or any other institutes or places where they can do their b ed course....

What about master degree of 62 percentage nd the graduation percentage of 46?

I have got 50% marks in 10th and 44% in 12th and in BA 44% marks,so can i do Bed .plz tell me. and one more thing after Bed there is no problem in selection in teacher merit list.

B.Ed stands for Bachelor of Education.

If, you have obtained only 43% marks in graduation, then you are not eligible for B.Ed exam.

If, you will pass your post-graduation with minimum 45% or 50% marks, then you can be eligible for B.Ed exam.

Educational qualifications required for B.Ed exam are mentioned below:-

1. Completion of graduation in any stream with minimum 50% marks from any recognized board or university.

2. Final year candidates are also eligible.

3. Marks relaxation:- 5% marks relaxed for OBC, SC/ST candidates.

4. Nationality:- Indian.

5. Age limit:- There is no age limit.
