Duration of Course :

This course is of 26 weeks after which there will be 100% placements in various companies like NDPL, Essar Power, ABB, PR & DC, JSPL etc.

NPTI Eligibility Criteria :

The applicant should have the B.E. degree either in Electricals or Electricals & Electronics or Power Engineering.

NPTI Selection Procedure :

Selection will be on the basis of merit i.e. on the basis of percentage of marks obtained in B.E. or equivalent qualifying exam as per the University norms.

NPTI Application Procedure :

You can download the application form from the official website & send the completed form along with the DD.

No.of Seats :

There are 60 seats for admission.

NPTI Fee Structure :

fee structure varies every years in 2010 it was Rs. 1,25,000/- for non-sponsored students & Rs. 1, 50,000/- for Sponsored candidates.

National Power Training Institute invites application for admission to Post Graduate Diploma Course in Thermal Power Plant Engineering.

NPTI Eligibility 2011 :

B.Tech / B.E. or equivalent in Mechanical / Electrical / Power / Electronics / Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
Those appearing in their final year examination can also apply. however, they must submit their provisional degree at the time of NPTI Counseling.

NPTI Selection Process 2011 : Merit based on a PGDC Common Entrance Test ( CET ) result followed by NPTI counseling.

PGDC CET 2011 Centres :

Faridabad, Badarpur, Nagpur, Durgapur, Neyveli, Bangalore, Guwahati and Nangal.

Age Limit for NPTI Admission 2011 :

For non – sponsored candidates the age limit as on 31 August, 2011 is 27 years.
Age relaxation in case of reserve category candidates is as per Government norms.
No age limit for the sponsored candidates.

NPTI Total Seats 2011 : 340.

NPTI Reservation for OBC / SC / ST / Physically challenged as per Government of India norms.
25% seats are reserved for candidates sponsored from Power Utilities having more than one year experience as on the date of counseling and more than 60% marks in Engineering Degree.
Total No of seats may vary as per requirement. Vacant seats in sponsored category can be filled by non sponsored category and vice – versa if required.

I think you are talking about NPTI.

However,Npti has already conducted admission (on 21.12.2009) for it 2010 2nd batch of operation and mentainence of transmission and distribution system,which is a 26 weeks long course.

However,you can apply for graduate engineers course (thermal) for the batch of 2010-2011.

The minimumqualification is you must be a b.e/b.tech in electrical/electrics and electronics/instrumentation engineering with atleast 60% aggregate including all semester and must not crossed the age limit of 30 years.

Selection is based on percentage scored in b.e./b.tech.

You are required to apply on a plane paper in a following format :-
1. Candidates Name.
2. Father's Name.
3. Date of birth & age as on 31.12.2009.
4. Sex.
5. Marital Status.
6. Nationality.
7. Whether SC / ST / OBC.
8. Postal Address.
9.Educational qualification starting from B.E./B.Tech onwards stating subjects, college / Institution, % of marks (Grading viz. CPI, DGPA, CGPA, OGPA, etc. are to be converted into equivalent percentage which should be supported by certificate issued by the concerned University), along with the year of passing.Note all mark sheets should we attested.
