i m doing economic honour from delhi university. i have completed my first year. i want to do master in business economics or m.a in economics. can any one suggest me abt the procedure for doing these courses, coachig centres in delhi and about the colleges

sIr i'v passed 12th wid commerce stream maths . now i 'v two choices 1. economics (hons) frm delhi university (Rajdhani college) and 2. Bechlor of Business Administrator frm Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IIMT) .. can u plz tell me which one has much scope in future... ? and what should i do.. ? plz you also tell me the advantages of these courses .. ??

I dont want to misguide you, but the truth is that eco(hons) does not have any scope in the pvt sector. Its just top students of top colleges, who get placements, rest don't. the truth is that DU is spreading rumors of the usefulness of this course because students score the least aggregate in this course. Students cant even get jobs in banks because they are not able to score the 50% aggregate. On top of it, even MNC's today want a 50% aggregate. The reality is that companies prefer BCom(h) instead of this course because the former are taught accounts in three years. I have heard about many students not able to get 50% and then work as misfits in call centers, or research based jobs. Life becomes a total hell, because when your percentage falls short of the required, you dont have anything to do. Also, this job is good if you want to pursue MAeCO and become a teacher or a lecturer.

prospect of doing economics hons with political science and maths as your pass subject?

I have completed my MBA with finance specialization in 2011.i want to do Ph.d programme.so pls suggest which stream is good whether Economics or Management.Which one is having good opportunities other than lecturer in private and public sector?

M.A. in Economics
M.A. in Mass Communication (MMC)
M.Sc. in Advertisement & Journalism
Master of Business Administration (MBA)
Masters in Applied Economics
MBA in Economics
Students of Economics can secure good jobs in the fields of management, public relations, teaching etc. In case they wish to pursue their further studies; students can go for M.Phil or PhD in a variety of specializations.

you can opt for government sector jobs as there are lots of scope for it.

ou can do master's in Economics after graduation, and further Phd which will give you better chances in job field.

One can join government companies, business firms, private organisations, and academic institutions, consultancy services etc.

Different private and foreign banks, insurance companies offer good openings to candidates holding postgraduate or doctorate degree in economics.

There is scope but not that much if you do just a gradution from india. If you really want to be successful then do masters after your gradution and then Phd from abroad

This will provide you great opportunities anywhere in the world. Or else you can do your MBA later in Finance and Marketing.

But at the end its your choice. You can take some inspiration from Dr Manmohan Singh the PM of India. He has done economics from top colleges abroad and so he is very successful in his field.

So it depends how higher you want to study rest depends only your aptitude and hardwork

what sre the carrier oppourtunities after completing graduation in english honours?

i was a science student in class 12th and now i am doing B.A economics hons from Delhi university. now i realize that although i can anyhow finish the course but i m not interested in the subject. Should i dropout and take admission in an engineering college? What do you suggest?

Economics has got lot of good jobs attracting to its stream. Doing only economics honors wont suffice your Curricular vitae to provide a handy job.You should surely take a stp ahead by enrolling your name in for Masters degree. After doing masters degree you can either join a firm or work hard on the subjects for two months and clear the NET(National Eligibility Test) .This will give you opportunity to enter lectureship and simultaneously teach the degree students ,which would give you satisfaction ,salary and respect in society.

May I know the career options opened after my graduation?
Actually I am not really interested in doing M.A in economics after that.
I want to do my higher education in the field of finance basically. So, in that case wud Masters in Finance from LBS, London a better option?
