Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Today IT sector is growing very fast specially in India. The main factor can never be your percentage ,no doubt it is also a factor in job prospect, but remember it is not the only factor required for job, knowledge is the greatest factor for job. So don't be nervous and face as many interviews you can face, may be you need to work for some low salary job at the initial state, but for the experience purpose be ready for it after that you will surely be in a good position.
Don't think that you are too old now. Be confident and sure whatever you are doing. Thank You. |

Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Most of the IT companies like TCS, Infosys, WIPRO, IBM, Accenture etc. have following eligibility criteria for on-campus recruitement-
* Minimum 60% marks in 10th * Minimum 60% marks in 12th * Minimum 60% marks in graduation * No backlogs in any subject in any semester. But off-campus eligibility criteria is somewhat different. There is more relaxation in percentage. So, you can definitely apply off-campus. You can submit your CV/resume either manually or online on the company's website. Whenever there is a vacancy, they will call you for interview. You have done a number of courses which is an advantage for you. You should improve your command over programming languages like C, C++, C#, Java, , .net, SQL. Also you should improve your communication skills. |

Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Yes, your percentage is low which maybe a cause of worry.
But look at the brighter side. You are highly qualified and im sure that there will be many companied who would want such a qualified person. You have done B.Ed and MCA, then i suggest it would be a good prospect if you apply in educational institutions such schools and engineering colleges for the post of a senior teacher or lecturer respectively as they are on the lookout for such people and generally they dont have such highly qualified people. And if you get a teaching job, then side by side you can apply in IT firms. So you'll have a job and can as well fish for better jobs |

Don't loose hope because in today's market, marks really don't matter.
All you have to do is to implement your skill in your job. Do develop your personality drastically, Like interpersonal skills, Vocal, Language proficiency, ability to communicate with people sporadically, Broad mind set etc Education never determines your career, Its your determination that determines your Career.. ALL THE BEST.. |

Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Dear friend,
It is very hard for you to get a job easily with such a low percentage, you better try for very small companies and gain experience after that you can apply for big companies, you can register to any job consultancy for job information. |

Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Dear friend.......
tension is a thing which can destroy your whole future, so don`t take the tension. you got low percentage, so big companies will not give you the job, so you can start your future from the small companies. you should be perfect in he java language, then you go to the company and start working, then you work there 1 or 2 years, now you will be experienced so you can easily g to the big companies. best of luck. |

Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Dear friend,
All the top level companies of CMM level5 like-TCS,CTS,Infosys etc. provide a minimum of 60% overall carrier percentage to apply. You don't seem to have that percentage. Therefore you are not able to apply in those companies. Although there are a huge number of CMM level3 companies. You can easily apply for them to start your carrier with. All the best. |

Re: How can I get job in IT/Software field with this low percentage?
Hi dear,
Don't loose hope because in today's market, marks really don't matter. All you have to do is to implement your skill in your job. There are many such job profiles that you can apply for in software industry. After some years of experience, it may happen that you can switch to high profile post. For starting a career in IT/Software industry, with gaining knowledge in software, you have to improve your communication skill, soft skill, presentation power and body language. I hope you will walk the right path with what you have. Thanks |
