In order to get admission in any IIT you need to secure a good rank in the GATE exam.The academic as well as your graduation mark will not affect your chances of getting a seat.So you just need to be within a good position in the merit list so that you can get admission.

i got 57 percent in btech... So can apply fo iit to mtech.. Afte qualifing gate with above 98 percentile...

you should have a score of above 600 marks in GATE and a percentile of over 95 to make it to an IIT and choose your desired branch..
the minimum percentage is 60% in your B.Tech.
after that it all depends on how well you have performed in your GATE exam and also on your luck because you have to get your seat before a better ranked person takes it..

i want to suggest you that you have to get 60 percent in the b.tech exam. and you are good in the all subject of the b.tech degree then you can fight the GATE exam for get the best college .

if you get good marks in the get exam then you will not be ask for the b.tech percentages.

the IIT level college you will be provided if you do very hard work for the GATE exam and do a very good score in it, by this you can go to the best colleges.

Hi dear,

If you are interested to get admission in M.tech in IIT's, then you have to scored minimum 60% marks in your B.tech.

The admission in M.tech in IIT's are based on GATE score, and if you have scored more than 300 marks in your GATE entrance exams, then you will get admission in IIT.

And if you are interested to get admission in M.tech in IIT's without GATE score, then you have to scored atleast 75% marks in your B.tech only then you will get direct admission in IIT's.

But, if you have scored more than 300 marks in your GATE exams, then definately you will get admission in M.tech in IIT. But you have to face the Interview, After clear the Interview you will get admission in M.tech in IIT's..............

Do do M.tech at IITs , U need 60% at some IITs like delhi, bombay etc. I think kanpur takes below 60% at B.Tech

First of all you must be secured 60% in B.tech.after that you have to write gate exam.Remember one thing that the admission into IIT's is depend on gate marks.minimum percentage is 60% in B.tech and 96% in gate exam.these are the required percentages to get admmission into IIT's.Be prepare from the first year of b.tech.this is good and make you easy to write gate exam and get good marks.
