I m a citizen of Indian but m serving british army from last 1 year. I am 24 years old. It there is any chance i can be a part of indian army because i would love to serve indian army

My dear friend,

The required age for NDA is from 16.5 to 19 years.Your age should lies between this schedule and it is according to the UPSC because you can apply for NDA only and only after completion of 12th with in any of the stream.

As there are types of civil services that comes under NDA:

1.Indian Navy
2.Indian Air Force
3.Indian Military




And you can apply for any from these according to your choice and interest. NDA stands for National Defense Academy and it is an entrance exam which is used to enter into the field of civil services after completion of 12th with in any of the field.

You must be eligible for it.Your age should be correct and you have to satisfy the eligibility criteria to apply for NDA.Girls are not eligible for NDA because it is according to the UPSC rule. NDA held as twice in a year.




Eligibility criteria for NDA:

1.You must be an Indian.
2.Your age should lies between 16.5 to 19 years.
3.Your eye sight should be correct i.e.6/6.
4.You must be physically fit.
5.Girls are not eligible for it.
6.Only unmarried males are eligible for it.


You can apply for NDA after completion of 12th with more than 50% marks under some recognized university or board with any of the following stream:-

1.Arts
2.Commerce
3.Non-Medical
4.Medical


Girls can only apply after completion of graduation because after graduation they can apply through CDS entrance exam.For CDS,both girls an boys are eligible.

National Defence Academy(NDA) Entrance exam is conducted for recruiting eligible candidates to Indian Armed Forces like Indian Air force wings, Indian Army Wings, Indian Navy wings.
Eligibility:
1.candidate should have passed 12th standard or its equivalent examination from any recognized University/Board.
2.Only Unmarried male candidates between 16 1/2 to 19 years can apply for the exam.
3.candidate who are applying for the exam should have Indian citizenship.

The NDA Exam conducted twice in a year is named as the NDA-I & NDA-II Exam.
