as such there is no age restriction for GATE for your information eligibility for GATE .
Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.
Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

there in no age limit for gate examination.only eligible for writing gate examination is that you should be depends upon any stream in engineering degree.you should work hard then only you will get good college for your post graduation with scholarships.

GATE exam is conducted by IIT. As per eligibility criteria for GATE exam
there are no age limit for appearing in the GATE exam and also no limit
for the no. of attempt in GATE exam. You can give GATE exam at any age
and you can attempt GATE exam many times according to your choice.

There is No upper Limits For Gate, A guy who is aspiring to give Gate Exam need to Full fill only Educational Qualification which is Engineering Graduate with No Backlog at the Time of counselling at particular college.

And you can attempt so many times because there is no limit in attemting.

But Graduation degree is compulsory for this exam and if you completed then score card is valid for 2 year.

If you are interested in GATE examination,
Then you will have to fulfill these criteria first.
then you will be able for GATE examination :

1.You should complete your graduation[B.E/B.TECH/MCA/BSc/]

2.Final year students can also apply for GATE.

3.Pre final year students are not eligible for GATE examination.

4.Your age must be within 21 to 30 years.

THE ELIGIBILITY FOR GATE EXAM:-

(a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent.

Eligibility For GATE

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) Exam takes place every year for admissions into M.Tech courses in the best colleges of India like IITs,NITs,BITS,IISc,etc..

There is no restriction on the number of attempts or age for appearing in GATE

GATE is the common entrance exam which is conducted by the IIT's and the IIM's in order to select the sharp minds for the Master's Programs and Courses all over India.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR GATE ::

1. A candidate must be a graduate in B.E/B.Tech/B.Architecture from z recognized university or college.
2. A candidate should have secured a minimum 60% aggregate or CGPA (whichever is valid) for the GEN, and 55% for the OBC/SC/ST applicants.
3. There is as such no limit to the no. of attempts in the GATE exam.
4. Pre-final year students are not eligible to write the GATE exam, however the final year students can apply for the same.

So yeah sure you can appear for the GATE exam the third time also.

Important Dates for the GATE 2012 ::

1. Sale of the application forms - 12th September 2011
2. Last date for the submission (online application) - 17 October 2011
3. GATE online examination - 29 January 2012.
4. GATE offline examination - 12 February 2012.
