University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test is now conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education. It is called by name CBSE NET. The online application for 2017 December exam has already started from 11th August. Now, aadhaar number to apply online is compulsory.

Candidates who have done master's degree or in final year of master's degree waiting for results can apply for CBSE NET exam. Make sure you score minimum of 55% marks in master's degree. For OBC and SC/ST candidates, it is 50% marks.

The upper age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 28 years and there is no upper age limit for lectureship.

If your results for second semester of Master's degree in commerce is not declared then you can not apply for National Eligibility Test because you are still in first year of master's degree.

As per rule of UGC, final year candidate's waiting for final result of master's degree can apply for NET exam.
