Respected Sir, I have completed class 12th and my age is 20 years. I want to apply for NDA exam so I want to know what is the age criteria required to apply for NDA exam? Can I apply for it at the age of 20 years? Please answer as soon as possible.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy and the examination is conducted by UPSC twice every year.

The examination is conducted for recruitment of candidates in defence services. The eligibility to appear for examination is candidate must have passed or pursuing 12th from a recognised board.

Candidate's age must be between 16.5-19.5 years and only male candidates are eligible to appear for examination.

Yes, you are not eligible to apply for this NDA Examination with the age criteria that is mentioned above. The basic age criteria required for appearing in NDA Examination is as follows.

>> The minimum age required for appearing in NDA Examination is 16.5 years

>> The maximum age must not exceed 19 years

>> There is no age relaxation applicable for any category candidates i.e., no relaxation in age for reserved category candidates

The candidates born not earlier than 02 July 1998 and not later than 1st July 2001 are eligible to apply for the NDA examinations. If you born in between those above mentioned period then you are eligible or you are not eligible. If you are twenty years then you are not eligible for NDA examinations conducted by the UPSC. The candidates should be unmarried and should have studied 10+2 in any stream for Army Wing. For Air Force and Naval Wings the candidates should have studied 12th with physics and mathematics subjects are eligible to apply. The UPSC website link is Click Here

You should have completed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board to be eligible to appear in NDA examination. There is no age relaxation for any reserved category candidates to appear in NDA examination. Since, you have crossed the maximum age limit of 19.5 years, you are not eligible to appear in NDA examination.

> You should have completed 12th standard with physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects from a recognized board.

> Your age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years.

> You must be an unmarried make candidate.

> You must be an Indian citizen.

As you have mentioned above that you have completed the age of 20 years, so I am very sorry to say that you are not eligible to apply for NDA examination. Because, the maximum age limit to apply for NDA examination is 20 years.

As per as criteria, you are not eligible for NDA exam.

Candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19.5 years.
