Dear friend,
It is not necessary to have at least 60% marks in 12th board exam to appear in bank clerk exam of all the banks. But many banks require Ist division in 10+2. So you should try in those banks which do not demand 60% marks. And yes, there is some relaxation for reserved categories. But if you have good percentage in graduation, it will be easier for you. |

Re: Am I eligible for Bank Clerk Exams having secured 59% in 12th?
Unfortunately not anymore. Earlier 10+2 students were welcomed to appear for the IBPS Clerical Exam but the recent changes have shunned them out. From now on you need a graduation degree for the IBPS Clerk Exam.
This change was made recently and therefore even if you have passed the IBPS Clerk Exam earlier in the year or last year with 10+2 qualification, you will not be considered for the job. The decision came as surprise to many but this is what the Public Sector Banks that accept the IBPS Clerk Exam score, requested from the Institute of Banking Personnel Services. A total of 19 PSU banks accept the IBPS Clerk and IBPS Bank PO Exam. Therefore if you want to appear for the exam please complete the graduation first. Depending on your stream in 12th you can pursue B.A., B.Com, B.Sc etc. Eligibility 1. You should be Indian citizen. 2. A graduation degree in any stream. 3. percentage is not the criteria. 4. You must have Computer/IT as subject in High School or College. Alternatively a diploma/degree course in computers. 5. You must have good understanding of the official language of the state where you want the job. Age Limt. The age limit is 18 to 28 years for General. There is 3 years relaxation for OBC. SC/ST gets 5 years relaxation. |
