Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO after scoring 51% in graduation
HI,
Having secured an aggregate of 51% in your Graduation, you are eligible for almost all bank PO exams as per academic qualification. But sometimes, there are some private sector banks which will put the eligibility criteria as minimum of 55% of marks in Graduation. But, this criteria will be put by very less banks. You did not mention the category to which you belong. If you are a candidate of SC/ST category, you will be given relaxation in percentage of marks upto 5%. So, in that way, if you are a candidate of SC/ST category, you will be eligible for those some private sector banks which may put the eligibility criteria as minimum of 55% in graduation. Let me provide you the eligibility criteria for Bank PO exams in more clear. Academic Qualification : -One should have completed Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. Some private sector banks may put the eligibility criteria as a minimum of 55% of marks in Graduation. -Relaxation is there in percentage of marks upto 5% for the candidates of SC/ST category. Age criteria : -One should be in the age group of 21-30 years to be eligible for bank PO Exams. -Relaxation is there in upper age limit for the candidates of SC/ST category. For some banks like SBI, there is limit on number of attempts. Keep that in mind. So, you are eligible for almost all bank exams. Have good preparation to the respective bank PO Exam which you want to appear for and crack the exam. From this academic year, IBPS (Institute of Banking Personnel Selection) is conducting common written exam for the recruitment of Probationary Officers for 19 public sector banks. If you are interested, you can appear for the upcoimng IBPS PO Exam. For complete information on IBPS PO Exam, you can visit http://www.ibps.in/ For regular updates on bank exams, you can visit http://www.bankexamsindia.com/ |

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO after scoring 51% in graduation
Dear Aspirant,
Generally the Percentage cutoff made by many Banks are 60% aggregate. So if you are having no reservation then i am afraid to say that you are not eligible for the bank p.o jobs. But if you have any reservation in the castes perspective. You can have a chance sometimes. But it is very rare.It depends on the company which you allow. So if the company allows the caste reservation system in this thing then you can have some percentage cutoff decreased when you are having reservation. Else you are not eligible for writing the exam so i would suggest to look out for the jobs like clerk and etc. After getting in to the company after your work is good then you could have a promotion and get a chance of doing the P.O jobs in the bank. so Good luck for you. Hope this info helps you. All the best for your future endeavor's. Any more Queries. Don't Hesitate to ask me. Am happy to help you always. Just ping to my profile. Best Regards, Sampath. |

Re: Am I eligible for Bank PO after scoring 51% in graduation
For IBPS PO 60% marks in Graduation is essential if you want to apply for it.
For SBI PO no percentage limit is there and only Graduation degree is required for it. So you are not eligible for IBPS PO but you will be eligible for SBI PO Examination. So apply for SBI PO if you have below 60% marks and if you have 60% marks then you can apply for both the examination. For Bank PO examination you must have age between 21 to 30 years if you are General Category candidate . There is age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC Category. The recruitment will be done on the basis of merit list prepared after the written examination and personal interview. The objective paper will have negative marking for wrong answers and you have to clear cut off marks in every section. So you must be well prepared for the examination if you want to get through it with flying colours.
