Eligibility and Exam Pattern for Tripura Civil Services (Grade II) Exam
Graduates with in the age group of 21-37 years can apply for Tripura Civil Services (Grade II) Exam conducted by Tripura Public Service Commission. Selection of eligible candidates is done after considering their performance in written exam and interview. Written exam comprises of 5 compulsory papers and 3 optional papers. Topics like English Composition, Bengali Composition and General Knowledge are covered under compulsory papers where as Science, Arts, Engineering, and Commerce subjects are included under the list of optional subjects.
Eligibility Requirements for Tripura Civil Services (Grade II) Exam
Indian citizens having completed their bachelor degree from any of the recognized universities are eligible to join Tripura Civil Services. The lower age limit specified for the position is 21 years. Those above 31 years of age are not eligible to apply. Category based reservation will be applicable for reserved category candidates. Also eligible candidate must be mentally as well as physically fit as per the requirements.
Exam Pattern for Tripura Civil Services (Grade II) Exam
Selection is done after evaluating candidate’s performance in two stages
- Written Exam
- Personality Test
Written exam is conducted for 800 marks and personality test for 100 marks, to make a total of 900 marks.
There will be 5 compulsory papers and 3 optional papers for the written test. In total there will be 8 papers, each carrying 100 marks. Time allotted for the completion of each of the compulsory as well as optional papers is 3 hours. Topics covered under compulsory papers are

- General Knowledge and Current Affairs
- Bengali Composition and Translation/Alternative English
- The Constitution of India and Planning in India

Those who pass the written exam will only be considered for personal interview. Good score in both of the screening stages are mandatory for final selection.
Applications for attending the entrance exam can be submitted through the official web portal of Tripura Public Service Commission. Before starting with the application process, candidate should make a fee payment of Rs. 150/-. Fee payment can be made via Tripura Gramin Bank (for applicants inside the state) and State Bank of India (for applicants outside the state). Upon submitting the online application successfully, candidates will be acknowledged with an ‘online application’ receipt, which must be kept safe for future reference.
