Hi Sakshi,
My suggestion is to take H.E.C (History, Economics, Commerce) group in your intermediate as it would best help in qualifying in the I.A.S exam. With regards Mani |

Re: Which subjects should I choose after completion of 10th Class to become a Collector?
For becoming collector you have to crack Civil Services examination which is conducted by UPSC.
Graduation in any discipline is required for this examination. So it doesn't matter which subject you opt for in 10+2. You can opt for any stream according to your interest and after Graduation you can apply for Civil Services examination. The Civil Services examination has most of the questions from General Studies means you must have very good knowledge of some General Knowledge topics like History, Geography, General Science etc. So prepare according to the syllabus of Civil Services examination. The age required for Civil Services Exam is 21 to 30 years for those who belong to General Category. 5 years age relaxation is for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category. The selection will be based on the marks in the preliminary exam, Mains exam and Interview. For all the details of Civil Services Exam visit http://www.upsc.gov.in |

Re: Which subjects should I choose after completion of 10th Class to become a Collector?
It is good that you have decided upon of what you want to be in the very beginning of your career.
Due to this you can put your full efforts towards reaching your Destination. Collector designation will be offered for IAS Officers. In order to be placed in IAS, one should crack the following selection procedure CSAT Exam Civil Services Main Exam Interview The eligibility will be as follows Completion of Graduation with any of the stream from a recognized university. Age criteria : For General category : 21-30 years For OBC category : 21-33 years For SC or ST category : 21-35 years You can opt for any stream in your 12th class and Graduation. There is no limitations at all one that thing. But one thing I want to suggest is you that go for the list of optional subjects for Main exam. Choose the one which you are more interested and make sure that you will be having that subject in both your academic levels of 10th class and 10+2. Wish you all the best. |
