IIST Admission Eligibility

IIST conducts its separet entrance test for admission to undergraduate programs in
Aerospace Engineeing, Avionics and Physical Sciences.

The entrance test is named as IIST Aptitude Test or ISAT.

The eligibility criteria for the entrance test is as under;

1. Citizenship

Indian Citizenship

2. Date of Bitrth

It should be on or after October 1st, 1987 (GEN/OBC category candidates)
It should be on or after October 1st, 1982 (SC/ST/PD candidates)

3. Educational Qualification

a) Minimum 70% marks in aggregate in PCM subjects in 12th (GEN/OBC category candidates).
Minimum 60% marks in aggregate in PCM subjects in 12th (SC/ST/PDcategory candidates).

b) Minimum 70% marks in 10th (GEN/OBC category candidates).
Minimum 60% marks in 10th (SC/ST/PDcategory candidates).

c) Year of Passing 12th.
It should be 2011 or 2012.

Only online application can be submitted for ISAT.

Yeah you definitely eligible for the IIST exam.
The applying and exam dates are as follows:
Online Registration begins from: 2nd week of November, 2011

Last date of Online Registration: End of December, 2011

Last date for Fee Remittance : 1st week of January, 2012

Last date of receipt of Institute copy of Challan: Mid January, 2012

Date of IIST :3rd week of April, 2012

INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SPACE SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY [IIST]

This institute conducts the entrance examination[ISAT] for admission in this institute IIST, Thiruvananthapuram,, for undergraduate courses,. (B.Tech) in
Aerospace Engineeing, Avionics and Physical Sciences.

For appear in this examination, you must have at least a 12th degree with subjects PCM [PHYSICS ,CHEMISTRY, & MATHS] with at least 70%.
also you must have scored at least 70% in 10th standard.
There are 10% of relaxations are applicable in minimum percentage requirement for SC\ST\PH candidates,..

The age limit for this examination is 17-25 years,.
there are 5 years of age relaxations are applicable for the SC\ST candidates..

Eligibility for IIST entrance exam (ISAT 2012) :-

1.Candidate must have complete the 12th in the the year of 2011 or 2012..

2.Candidate must be a citizen of India.

3.For general category Candidate should have secure 70% aggregate in physics , chemistry and maths.. And for SC/ST the aggregate should be 60%..

4.The age should not be more than 25 years..
For SC/ST the upper age relaxation is 5 years..

To appear in this entrance exam you have to fulfill all these eligibility criteria.
