IMA is located at Dehradun, and NDA cadets are given training here,Some of the eligibilty for IMA and CDS are given below: IMA: For IMA, NDA candidates who are in fourth year are given training here. >> FOr direct entry man:,you have to consider these: *19 and 24 yrs. *Graduation from Recognised University. *Un Married male. >> For female candidates, they can apply for OTA after graduate examination,but they cant join for IMA,they are basically given training for men course only. >> For engineering graduates,they can join through UES scheme,in which there will be direct SSB or CDS exam. The acronym for IMA is Indian Military Academy. The acronym for CDS is Combined Defence Services. The eligibility criteria required for IMA examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation with Commerce from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 19-24 yrs. The eligibility criteria required for CDS examination are prescribed as below:- * Completion of graduation with PCM for Indian Navy/Air Force from any recognised college or university. * Completion of graduation with Commerce for Indian Military Academy/Army from any recognised college or university. * Age limit- 19-22 yrs for Navy. 19-23 yrs for Air Force. 19-24 yrs for Military/Army. 19-25 yrs for Officer's Training Academy. * Nationality- Indian. CDS is Combined Defence Services Examination.
For joining IMA (Indian Military Academy) you have to apply for CDS examination. Both male and female can apply for CDS examination if they have the required qualifications and age. Educational Qualifications for CDS : For IMA and OTA : Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University is required. For Air Force and Naval Academy: Graduation in engineering or maths or physics from a recognised University. Age Criteria: For Air Force Academy : 19 to 23 years For Naval Academy : 19 to 22 years For IMA : 19 to 24 years For OTA : 19 to 25 years Examination Pattern: -Objective Type Paper -SSB Interview -Medical Examination You have to be well prepared for above tests then only you will have any chance of getting selected. IMA - Indian Military Academy is a wing of CDS(Combined Defence Service), the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Military Academy, naval academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.
Girls are not eligible for Indian Military Academy as it is only meant for Male. Girls is only be eligible to apply for OTA(Officer's Training AcademY0 of CDS. The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical Fitness can apply for OTA of CDS. IMA - Indian Military Academy which is a part of CDS - Combined Defence Service, the entrance exam of which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as CDS-I and CDS-II to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.
Eligibility of IMA of CDS:- -The candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male. -Should have either appeared for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University. -Should be within the age of 19 to 24 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The candidate should have possessed good Physical and Mental health. If you have the above eligibility criteria then you are eligible to apply for IMA of CDS. Youre not eligible for IMA being a girl candidate, only male candidates are preferred for the IMA. But for the CDS, girl candidates are eligible. Therefore, you can go for the CDS exam while being in the graduation. the exam is conducted twice in an year by the upsc. I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for the IMA or CDS. Because girls are not eligible for the CDS exam. Only male candidates are eligible. CDS stands for Combined Defence Service. This exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission twice in a Year. i.e, CDS-I CDS-II CDS has three wings: The candidate Nationality should be India. The candidate should complete the graduation from any recognized University with any stream. The science stream candidates are eligible for the Navy & Air force. The candidate not required the Percentage for this exam. The applicant age limit should be between 19 to 24 years. The age relaxation is not applicable for this exam. Only male candidates are eligible for this exam. Girls are not eligible for this exam. So you can not eligible for this exam. But Girls eligible for Officers in Military. The candidate should be physically & Medically fit for this exam. Selection Process: Written Test Interview All the best............. |

CDS exams are conducted by UPSC two times in a year.

Is it necessary to pass 12th with PCM for CDS? i have economics, political science, maths, computer, english in 10 +2. now i am doing bca and it is my last year. am i eligible for cds exam. plz give me the full details for joining CDS. |
