Sir I completed M.B.A with 51% age I 28YRS & 11 months please tell me
I am elagibul or not elagibul for NET exam

To be eligible for UGC NET examination one shuld have at least 55% marks in the
master's degree.
5% relaxation is given to SC/ST/PH/VH canduates only.
If you are in any of these (SC,ST,PH,VH) categories then you can apply for
the examination, otherwise not.

As such there is no upper age limitation for NET-exam but the upper age limit is
28 years for those who are taking NET for JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).

NO,you are not eligible for NET.

FOR BECOMING LECTURER YOU HAVE TO

have post graduation in the subject with at least 55% from recognized university.

after that you can apply for the NET EXAM which held twice a year .
age limit- no age limit.

There is possiblity
1.If you could increase the marks in MBA.
OR
2.if you come under the category (SC/ST)

Hi aruna,

There is no age criteria for NET conducted by UGC except for NET-JRF.

For JRF, , maximum of 28 years is possible., in which you are not eligible.

Minimum percentage required to appear in NET exam is 55%,which is higher than your percentage.so ,as a general category student , you are not eligible.

But, there is relaxation given to SC/ST/OBC of 5%, so if you come under these categories, then you can definitely appear.

NET exam conduct by UGC two times in a year in the month of june and december. Notification announce in month of March and september.

Qualification for NET Exam- In net exam those candidate are eligible who
complete their post graduate with 55% marks in any subject from any recognised university(relaxation for sc/st/obc).Candidates who are appear in the final year of post graduation are also eligible to apply for exam.

Age- No age limit for Lectureship.but for JRF exam 28 years for general.(Relaxation for other category).

You have completed MBA degree so you are eligible for NET exam.

Those candidate have completed masters degree from recognized university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

UGC NET consists of three papers

1) General studies (50 objective questions)
2) Your optional paper (50 objective questions)
3) Your optional paper (Subjective questions)

Second paper will check only after qualifying the first paper and third paper will checked after qualifying the second paper.

Hello Friend,

To give NET exam the candidate percentage should be greater than 55%.
So There is no age limitation but the percentage limitation.
So you are not eligible for NET Exam..
