I m 38 years old. I have completed MBA Finance. whether i am eligible for NET Exam? Please do clarify.

yes you can appear for NET(LS)... from economics stream.
There is no upper age limit in NET(LS)...the minimum age being.
19 years.you can not appear for NET(JRF) though.

For appearing for the NET exam it is a must that the candidate have completed his Masters. You need to select the optional subject based on the your specialisation in Masters. Since you have completed MBA you can choose Management as a subject. You are eligible to take this test if you have pursued the course from a recognised institute. Also there is no upper limit.

The age limitation is only for those who are willing to apply for JRF(Junior Research Fellowship)

but those who want to apply for Lectureship, there is no age limitation.

The notification for the coming NET examination will come in March which will be

published in the month of March. The examination will be conducted in June.

You cannot apply for JRF NET as per eligibility criteria......Go for lecturer ship

Eligibility for CSIR UGC NET entrance examination:
You Must have a M.Sc. or equivalent degree with minimum 55% aggregate marks And the final year Students of M.Sc. are also eligible to appear in CSIR NET exams.

Age Eligibility Criteria -
For Junior Research fellowship – You must be between 19 –28 years of age.
For Lectureship – There is no upper age limit. You should be at least 19 years of age.

1. Pass M.Sc. OR equivalent Degree Examination in any subjects from a recognized institute / university.

2. Age Limit For JRF (NET) = Minimum 19 Years and maximum 28 years.

3. Age Limit For LS (NET) = Minimum 19 years

4. Nationality = India

NOTE: - You are not eligibile for NET exam at the age of 38 Years.
