NET Stands for National Eligiblity Test and this examination was Conducted by UGC Twice in a year, The examination was Held in June and December Every year and To apply for this examination you need to complete your Post graduate degree course with minimum 55% marks form a recognised university.

The June NET Examination was Already completed and If you are Interested then please apply for NET Examination online by visit the UGC Website.

You have completed your M.sc course in English, So you are eligible for NET Examination, If you have scored minimum 55% marks in your Post graduation.

If you have completed your Post Graduation course in English then you are eligible only for English subject in NET Examination, Because you have to choose subject in NET as per your Post graduation and for Linguistics subjects, you need to choose MSc in Applied Linguistics and then you are eligible to Opt NET Examination.

The examination fees of NET Examination was Rs 450 and you have to pay the fees through challan form in State bank of India and then you are allow to fill the NET Application form Online by visit the official website, The Registration was already started and the last date of apply for NET Examination was 25/Oct/2011.

So, Please apply for NET Examination soon before the last date and for More Information check the Official website -

Dear friend,

After MA , you are eligible for NET exam but your degree must be from UGC approved university.

Those candidate have completd masters degree from recogniged university are eligible for NET exam.

For general and OBC candidate must be hold 55%above in masters degree. SC/ST candidate must be hold 50% above in masters degree.

Part time course are not eligible for NET exam.

For Junior research fellowship course your age must be in between 19 to 28 years.

For lectureship ,There is no upper age limit but the Minimum age is 19 years.

NET exam is conduct because of govt college lecturer and PHD entrance.

Hello,
To teach in the university or colleges the candidates must have cleared the NET exam.
the candidates who have completed the post graduation are eligible to apply for the UGC NET exam.
The minimum eligibility to apply for the UGC NET is that candidate must posses the Post-Graduation degree with 55% marks from recognized university.
As you have completed the MA in English, you are eligible for UGC NET English.
After qualifying the UGC NET you can apply for the vacant posts in the university and colleges.
