Re: Are B.Arch. graduates eligible to apply for IES examination?
Dear Friend
The eligibility criteria of Indian Engineering Services Examination (IES) states that One should have a B.E./B.Tech. in any discipline or an equivalent degree to be eligible to apply for the exam. As you are an architecture you would have a good knowledge of Civil Engineering too. So, you should choose Civil Engineering for the exam. The notification for IES exam-2011 is attached with this message. Read it carefully for any other information Thank You |

Re: Are B.Arch. graduates eligible to apply for IES examination?
Hi,
The educational eligiblity condition for IES clearly states that: "A candidate must have obtained a degree in Engineering from a University Recognized by the Act of the Central or State Legislature in India." Therefore, clearly there is no provision for students with an bachelors degree in architecture. Hence, unfortunately you are not eligible for the same. However, there are various government jobs for which you may apply. For details, please visit: www.upsc.nic.in Or, write to us, we'd be glad to help you out. Good Luck! |

Re: Are B.Arch. graduates eligible to apply for IES examination?
Hello friend,
Up to my knowledge what i know as of now is that you need to have a minimum of degree certificate in engineering under the following streams. 1.Electronics and telecommunication engineering. 2.Electrical engineering. 3.Mechanical engineering. 4.Civil engineering. Therefore i think you are not eligible for this exam but never mind you can try for other exams related to your course and stream. All the best. |
