I m a student of BCA (last semester) from IGNOU, i just wanted to know that can apply for the Air Force Academy and I.M.A??

Yes, definitely !

The BCA candidates passed from IGNOU are eligible for IMA and OTA.

IGNOU is the recognised and reputed university not only in India but globally.

So, after completing your course from this university you are eligible to appear for Air force examinations.

But, I will Tell you that, the BCA candidates are only eligible for IMA and OTA, because for IMA and OTA, you need only graduate degree from a recognised University.

But for For AFA, you need degree of recognized University with Physics and Mathematics at 12th level or Bachelor of Engineering degree. But please dont worry, you are eligible to apply for IMA and OTA Post. But for IMA Your age should between 19 to 24 years and for OTA your age should between 19 to 23 years. Final year appearing candidates are also eligible to apply for this examination.

Are BCA students from IGNOU eligible for Air Force Academy and IMA?


IGNOU is Reputed and Recognized university all over the world so you are not going to face any problem that is you are eligible to apply for applying for I.M.A But your age must lie between 19 to 24 years.

You can apply for another course that is OTA. Your age for applying in OTA should lie between 19 to 23 years.


But i am very sorry to say you that you are not eligible to join Air Force Academy.For joining AFA you must have a degree of engineering from a recognized university.

Eligiblity criteria for air force acadeamy and IMA

A candidate should have a graduate degree from arecognised university and candidate's age must lie between 19 to 25 year.

And IGNOU is a recognised university.

So, undoubtly you can apply for these exam

Yes, you can apply for IMA exam because for this exam you need to be graduate only.But you can't applt for AFA because only degree students can apply for this.

Hi friend,

As per the rules and regulations of indian air force and military the

candidate must be graduate from a recognized college.

Indira Gandhi National Open University is surely national wise recognized

university.

So after completing your degree in IGNOU you are surely eligible for both

of them.

Sir/mam I have Physics and maths at 10 2 and I am looking for graduation so,if I graduate from IGNOU BSC then am I eligible for afcat and CDs for flying branch ???
