I am taking English literature as an optional too. It should be a sensible choice, if you've done your Masters in English and not just graduated with an honours in it. The syllabus, though not titanic, is capable of sinking your score - it takes more than just literary knowledge to score good in this, one requires decent writing skills and enough essay writing practice.
