Can I appear for GATE in CSE while pursuing electronics and telecommunication engineering?


i am persuing electronics & telecommunication engg. final year and i want to appear GATE in CSE.Is it possible ?? Plz reply me as soon as possible

Hello dear,

Sorry!! but No.

GATE exam can be written only for there respective branches.

GATE exam is for pursuing Masters or for getting job.

If your pursuing B tech from ECE branch how can you specialize in CSE or get a job based on CSE.

It not at all possible.

If your Interested in CSE you can do dual degree. otherwise no chance of specialization in CSE.

Yes, it is possible for you to apply for GATE exam by final year of engineering. No specific percentage of marks in engineering is required to apply. There is no upper age limit for GATE. Limitation is not there for the number of exam attempts also. Detailed information on the exam can be collected from the portal of GATE.
