In order to be eligible for Indian Forest Service Examination, candidates must hold a bachelors degree in any of the following discipline:

Agriculture
Forestry
Engineering

Apart from this, candidates having studied any of the following subjects in the bachelors degree program are also considered eligible for the Indian Forest Service Examination:

• Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science
• Botany
• Chemistry
• Geology
• Mathematics
• Physics
• Statistics
• Zoology

Age limit for the Indian Forest Service Examination is as follows:

• Minimum Eligible Age: 21 years
• Maximum Age Limit: 30 years for candidates belonging to General Category, 33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST category.
