I am a commerce student, in s.y b.com... can i apply for AFCAT ? Pls tell me ?

Hello friend,
Since you belong to commerce background, you are eligible to apply for the flying branch as well as ground duty branch through the Air Force Common Aptitude Test also known as AFCAT. However, to apply for the flying branch, you must have studied Maths and Physics at +2 level. Apart from this, you must score a minimum of 60% in the bachelors degree examination.
The minimum eligible age to apply is 19 years and the maximum age limit is 23 years.

In the ground duty branch of Indian Air Force, after completion of your BCom program, you will be eligible to apply in the logistics as well as accounts department. To be eligible, you must score a minimum of 60% marks in the BCom exam and must be within the age limit of 20-23 years.

You can apply for ground duty branch in Air force...

Eligibility for ground duty branch in Air force:-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade with 60% aggregate..

2.The age should be in between 20-15 years.

3.Candidate must be physically fit..

These are the eligibility criteria you have to fulfill..

yes you are also eligible as far as doing graduation with commerce stream is concerned but see all other criteria as well and then check whether you are eligible or not.

Educational Qualification

• Graduation with any stream with atleast 60%.
• You must have physics and maths as cumpulsory in class 12th.
• Students who are appearing in their final exam of graduation are also eligible to appear.

Age criteria

• For Flying branch - 19-23 years
• For Ground Duty Branch - 20-23 years

The eligibility criteria is given below

AFCAT Eligibility Criteria:

Ground Duty Branches –
AGE:20-27 years of age.
EDUCATION: Post graduation or Bachelor degree in any subject with at least 60% aggregate marks.

Flying Branch –
AGE:19 years to 23 years.
EDUCATION:B.E / B.Tech degree or a Graduation in any discipline with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Technical Branch –

yes of course you are eligible to appear in AFCAT because for appearing in AFCAT there is no need to complete graduation with science stream but your aggregate marks in graduation should not be less than 60% .

Please also keep in mind that you are eligible only if you have done class 12th with physics and maths subject necessarily.

You can appear in AFCAT exam for ground duty.
AFCAT exam is conducted by INDIAN AIR FORCE for recruiting officer cadre in Air Force in various branch.
Basic criteria for this exam is
1.Candidate must have graduate at least 60% in any recognize university or college.
2.age should be 20-23 years
Flying branch
Technical branch
Logistics branch
Accountant branch.
Since you have already done B.Com then you can appear in this exam and become an Account officer.
Following rank are awarded by Indian air force.
1. Flying officer
2.Flight Lieutenant
3.Squardon leader
4.Wing commander
5.Group captain
6.Air commodore
7.Air vice marshal
8.Air marshal
9.Air chief Marshal which is also known as Chief of Air Staff.

Yes you can apply but only if you the eligibility criteria as shown below :

- Graduation in any steam except biology

- Minimum 60% marks in graduation

- 60% marks in 12th with maths as the main subject

- Age not exceed than 25 years

- good command on English

- Good communication skill.

So yes you can apply.

Yes, you can apply for AFCAT exam after you complete the Graduation. As you have done commerce without maths and physics in 12th, you can apply for Ground Duty branch. As for flying branch and Technical branch, Science stream is must with atleast 60% in Physics and mathematics.
Educational qualification for AFCAT Ground Duty is Graduation in any stream with atleast 60%
Age must be in between 20-23 years
