I'm pursing B.E Mechanical in 2nd year.i am to much interested in Air force job
would like to ask.Is there any Entrance Exam that i can apply ??

No at present you are not eligible to apply for the Indian Air force. But you can apply for the Indian Air force in the technical branch from your 3rd year through Air force common admission test. This examination is conducted by the Indian Air force twice in a year. To apply for this examination you need the following eligibility criteria.

Education Qualification
As pre final year students of engineering are only eligible through University entry scheme. So for this you should be in pre final year of engineering and should not have any current back log.
Candidates having current back logs are not eligible for this examination.

Age Limit
For the Technical branch candidate age should be between 18-28 years.

You are not eligible to apply for Indian Air Force while pursing your study in 2nd year B.Tech engineering but you are eligible to apply for the same in the 3rd year of your B.Tech study by appearing for AFCAT(Air Force Common Admission Test) which is held twice every year by Indian Air Force.

The candidate who are in pre final year of engineering within the age group of 18 to 28 years without back log in semesters exam are eligible to appear for AFCAT.

Yes, you apply for AFCAT exam but not now
after complete your degree exam then you apply for that
because you apply for Technical job so after complete you are eligible for that.

hi,
You are not eligible for Air Force in second year.
You can join Indian Air Force after passing Engineering.
For this you have to qualify the C.D.S exam.
C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

After qualifying C.D.S exam you can join Defence services like:-
> Army
> Air Force
> Navy

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass graduation with recognized university
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citizen of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

2nd year students are not eligible for to apply in air force.

You need to be atleast in prefinal year to apply for the afcat examination.

Sorry to say that you are not applicable AFCAT exam.But you are eligible for NDA exam.But your age must be below 19 years.

NDA stand for National Defence Academy which is conduct by UPSC in twice time in year.

As my knowledge there are some basic and important eligibility criteria are described below-

AGE: - Your age should be in between 16.5 to 19 years.

NOTE: - Only unmarried males are eligible.

Educational Qualification : - candidates must passed 10+12th with Physics and Maths and have to minimal 60% in 10th.

Those candidate have completed 12th standard are applicable for Indian Army exam through NDA

NOTE : - Candidates must be physically and medically fit for the NDA test.

after completion of 12th with minimum of 60% you can join in defence by appearing for NDA (national defence academy)exam
which will be conducted twice every year by upsc in the month of April and August
the age limit for appearing NDA is 16 1/2 to 19 years,

to write this exam you must have a command over following subjects
1)Physics
2)chemistry
3)mathematics
4)general science
5)general ability:general knowledge ,English skills
the cutoff of marks vary every years
